I couldn't resist - BFS hoofball at its worst, best chance for Soton so far.

A great result today with our rubbish team being a shade better than their rubbish team and west brom shagging spuds makes it a double orgasm for me.

Everton-Soton - at best Soton will make Allardyce look a football genius, at worst, Soton win

I may be able to resist this

Game decided by the ref's decision to keep Cresswell on the pitch.

Probably the right decision, but only by the thinnest of margins.

if we could just play 38 games next season against patchwork teams with two feet on the beach looking to out their manager, i think moyes might just be the man for the job.

We showed a lot of desire early on. Less so in the second but it was a hot day and we were winning.

Leicester were awful but this was a much needed win. Cresswell had a shocker. Lucky that mistakes didn't cost us.

From the BBC:

"West Ham moved onto 38 points and will be assured of their top-flight status if Southampton fail to win the late Saturday kick-off against Everton."

Vexed may be a cunt but he's not quite as dim as some, it seems.

Moyes will be manager next season - and I’m ok with that. Not overjoyed, but ok.

Unless we change owners we are not going to recruit anyone better.

..Mark Noble...Mr.West Ham..excellent volley..excellent goal and 3 badly needed points in the bag...The Hammers just could NOT afford relegation....what a season that was...and full praise to Arnie who came good and proved he was worth every penny. He was a joy to watch as he put in solid shift after solid shift...Still, we need another...Payet !!

A Southampton draw is enough
They and Swansea will both be on 33 with 2 to play. And they play each other on Tuesday.

From the BBC:

The run-in
Huddersfield: Man City (a), Chelsea (a), Arsenal (h)

Swansea: Southampton (h), Stoke (h).

Southampton: Everton (a) Swansea (a), Man City (h)

West Brom: Crystal Palace (a)

We don't feature. Get in.

So if Southampton lose against Everton we're mathematically safe right?

Good win today, totally unexpected.

Re: ⚽ Leicester v West Ham - Official Match Thread
look, we beat a shit southampton and a leicester who are on holiday and got thumped by palace last week. this was the bare minimum and only sealed by a goal from noble who would struggle to hit that ball like that for another 10 years.

we need a major overhaul of this playing squad. manager, coaches, board, i don't give a toss. the same players next year, or even more than 8 of them, and we'll struggle no matter who the rest of the cast are.
